Welcome to my E-Portfolio
My name is Daniel Venters. I am a student at the University of Maryland double majoring in Operations Management & Business Analytics and Information Systems in the Robert H. Smith School of Business. I am also a part of the Public Leadership College Park Scholars Program. Before entering the program, I had served in numerous leadership positions in the organizations that I was a part of like the Boy Scouts of America and the National Honor Society, but I wanted to improve my leadership abilities through the Public Leadership program. Over the past three semesters, the Public Leadership program has broadened my knowledge of what it means to be a leader, given me opportunities to have hands-on experience as a leader, given me the skill set necessary to thrive as a leader once I move beyond Public Leadership. What I learned in Public Leadership is only the beginning, however. I want to use the rest of my time at the University of Maryland to continue to build my skill set. Versatility is one of the traits that I value the most, and I will use the resources provided by the University of Maryland, specifically the Smith School of Business, to expand my own versatility. At the end of my college experience, I want to become a leader capable of tackling any problem that comes my way. - December 17, 2020
